This project was initiated in response to the potentially lethal problem of the consumption of tainted fish from a can. Improperly sealed or damaged cans could result in the growth of botulism. The system was designed to inspect the seam of the can just before it was labeled. The system was designed to inspect 600 can/minute with a resolution of about 0.002".
